I have lived in West Vancouver for more than 35 years and, together with my wife Rebecca Black, live in an Ambleside character home in the Sentinel Hill neighbourhood.
Trained as an architect and urban planner, I have spent four decades working across land-use master plans, transit-oriented development, public-private partnerships and social infrastructure. On Council, I bring that practical experience to decisions that shape our neighbourhoods.
Most days, you can find Rebecca and me walking our dogs in Ambleside Park or hiking the many trails above the British Properties.

As a Councillor, I have served on several committees, boards and working groups. I am a past Chair of the Community Engagement Committee and served as Council lead for the Neighbourhood Character Working Group, whose recommendations were unanimously endorsed by Council in 2021.
I currently serve as Council liaison to the Seniors’ Activity Centre Advisory Board and as the Mayor’s appointee to Metro Vancouver’s Regional Planning Committee.
